Clare Copas, “PCdp” is a Data Protection Practitioner and founder of MonClare Data Protection Consultancy, based in Dundalk.
For much of her career, Clare worked in the Insurance Sector as a fraudulent Claims Investigator. It was during this period she was witness to a serious data breach, which had significant impacts for a previous employer and several employees. This incident served as a catalyst and change of career path for Clare.
Now, with a passion for data protection and for privacy of information in the working environment, MonClare Data Protection Consultancy was established in 2016. The focus of “MonClare” is to educate businesses, organisations and all who process personal information on the critical role that Privacy Management has in the business, particularly since the implementation of The EU General Data Protection Regulation on 25th May 2018. Clare works closely with the SME Sector and organisations, by providing a diverse range of individual services, consultation, training, webinars, authoring of policies and procedures and training courses.
Clare would be delighted to provide support, guidance to any business or organisation on their GDPR compliance journey.
