Resilience Is A Mindset

Resilience, resilience, resilience yes it seems to be one of the big buzzwords going around at the moment. You’ll find it’s all over social media, being blogged about and there are lots of courses out there that you can sign up for in order to become more resilient.
I hear it all the time from clients and friends, how they would love to be more resilient.
But what is resilience?
What do you need more of, to be resilient?
Firstly resilience an inner strength, it’s the ability to bounce back from life’s challenges and tough situations – to keep going!
The key to resilience is to rediscover and improve your inner strength by developing an open mindset that is willing to be open and adaptable to new perspectives and new ways of thinking. The more open your mindset the more resilient you’ll become because the key to resilience is your mindset.
As the saying goes “ If you change the way you look at things everything you look at will change.”
Yes, I’ll say my mantra again, you’re Mindset Matters and “You Matter”.
Most fascinating of all in my view is that your original mindset your unconditioned mindset that’s the one you arrived with at birth was just perfect. I believe that we are all naturally resilient but it’s each individual set of life circumstances, the company you keep and the environment your in can often misplace or hide your resilience and all you need is to rediscover it.
Resilience without a doubt is an inside job which can be rediscovered, improved or developed with the assistance of a life coach but the real power comes from only you and how you choose to interpret all your life situations.
It’s about self-trust and being comfortable in your own skin. Looking inwards rather than outwards of yourself for acknowledgment from others, you and only you can give yourself your self- worth because have no doubt that your incredible self-worth is within you.
It’s about trusting and knowing that you can and will make the right choices for you in challenging circumstances.
It’s about being able to say “No” when you want to.
You’ve got what it takes and it’s about tuning into that incredibly powerful part of you that knows instinctively how to cope. That inner strength and power have always been there but over the years maybe you weren’t encouraged to access that part of yourself. Maybe with the busyness of life, you haven’t tuned back into that place as often as you could have done. Like any habit for example: brushing your teeth every day without even thinking, you can also tune into your inner power and resilience daily.
When you make a habit of tuning into that part of yourself, you’ll begin to recognize a strength within and trust it implicitly in the knowing and knowledge that all will be ok.
You will become both resilient and unstoppable.
